ABOUT
Hello Fellow Multicore Aficionado,
Before we start talking about the 7th Annual Multicore Developers Conference, I'd first
like to thank all the sponsors, presenters, and especially the attendees,
for a successful event in 2011. It certainly appeared that 2011 was the year
where system designers really began to take multicore technology seriously,
as the presenters and attendees focused much more on the practical aspects
of multicore usage. Clearly, over the course of the last 6 years, the
industry has witnessed major changes in the adoption of multicore
technology.
In 2011, for the first time at Multicore Developers Conference, we brought you the "Executive
Summit: Strategies for Integrating Multicore Technology". The feedback we
received indicated that this was a very worthwhile segment of the event, so
we look forward to hosting this again in 2012. During the Executive Summit,
leading industry spokespeople will provide you with authoritative
perspectives on how multicore processor technology will affect your business
and product development.
And as we've done since the inception of Multicore Developers Conference, we will once again
bring you state-of-the-art technical sessions covering subjects that include
multimedia and embedded graphics, programming and debug, software tools and
libraries, APIs for multicore communications and resource management, RTOS
and virtualization technologies, and other relevant topics.
As chairman of the Multicore Developers Conference, I have a responsibility to the design
communities to assemble the multicore technology experts and provide you,
the conference attendee, with answers to your questions. Oddly enough, I
also hope that you take away from the conference more questions than you
started with, as that means that we've enlightened you on the issues that
you'll need to be aware of as you begin your multicore-enabled design.
The Multicore Developers Conference is also loaded with exhibits and demos that are focused
on multicore implementations. This will provide you with the opportunity to
see multicore technology in action as well as network with the multicore
experts.
I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Markus Levy
Conference Chair
