Hello Fellow Multicore Aficionado,
It's difficult to believe that we are approaching the time for our fifth Multicore Expo. Over the course of the last 5 years, the industry has witnessed
major changes in the adoption of multicore technology. Many attendees to the
first Multicore Expo were "tire kickers" -- management and engineers who
were there to satisfy their curiosity. By the second and third Multicore
Expos, attendees were starting to take this 'multicore thing' seriously,
realizing that it was truly becoming a reality.
By the fourth Multicore Expo in 2009, attendees were there to learn how to solve their specific multicore issues – yes, that’s right, multicore technology presents some very interesting and unusual challenges. Now that we are preparing for the Multicore Expo in 2010, we have received twice the number of presentation abstracts as in previous years, giving us the ability to put together the best Multicore Expo conference program yet. I expect to fulfill the industry's needs for delivering compelling information related to the design and integration of multicore technologies, particularly focused on the Embedded Markets.
As chairman of the Multicore Expo, I have a responsibility to the Embedded
design communities to assemble the multicore technology experts and provide
you, the conference attendee, with answers to your questions. Oddly enough,
I also hope that you take away from the conference more questions than you
started with, as that means that we've enlightened you on the issues that
you'll need to be aware of as you begin your multicore-enabled design.
