| Abstract |
We will cover strategies for using the Multicore Association's communication API (MCAPI) and how to take advantage of the MCAPI 1.1 features. We will discuss why MCAPI is important for whether you are using 2, 32 or even just a single core, homogeneous or heterogeneous cores, one or multiple operating systems, and one or multiple physical transports. We will also touch on how you can benefit from using MCAPI together with MRAPI and upcoming standards from MCA, such as MTAPI. |

Sven Brehmer
President & CEO, PolyCore Software, Inc.
Brehmer is a founding member of the Multicore Association and chairman of the Communications API working group. Prior to founding PolyCore Software, Brehmer served as senior director for Wind River's Embedded Platforms Division, then home of VxWorks, pSOS and VSPWorks. He came to Wind River through the acquisition of Integrated Systems in 2000, where Brehmer served as the chief operating officer and executive vice president of DIAB-SDS. Prior to DIAB-SDS, Brehmer was the president and CEO of Diab Data. Brehmer received his Master's degree in Electronics Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.
